The Client Diocesan Family Service Centre is a premier institution in the field of Family development programs across Goa . The Marriage Preparatory Program is attended by an average of 5000 participants a year.
The Challenge To build a reservation system for the Marriage preparatory program ,accessable from the branch offices in Goa with an extension to the web site showing the seat availability status and option for e-Booking. The software had to be secure and had to offer failsafe performance with the low bandwidth problems (dial up connections )in a few locations. To keep the Total Cost Of Ownership (TCO) Low was another criteria.
Solution
A Distributed software with optimized query and rollback options in case of network failures , connected to a centralized database . A module at the web site with automated data transfer capabilities took care of the internet visibility of real-time status of seat availability and e-booking. The software provided for data intelligence and outputs in a flexible manner with its report builder.
